1. Service description
PhotoCAD is an AI-powered tool that converts photos and raster images into manufacturing-ready vector files (DXF, SVG, PDF). By using PhotoCAD, you agree to these terms. Use of the PhotoCAD API is additionally governed by the API Terms. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use PhotoCAD. If you use PhotoCAD on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it.
3. Account and credits
You must create an account to convert photos and download files. New accounts include 3 free conversions to try; downloading a finished drawing then costs 1 credit. Credits can be purchased individually or via subscription. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law, where these terms say otherwise, or at our discretion. Subscription credits reset at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. Pay-As-You-Go and single-drawing credits never expire.
We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email. Subscription price changes take effect from your next billing period after the notice. Credits you have already purchased are unaffected by price changes, and we can reduce prices at any time.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload images you do not have the right to use
- Upload unlawful content of any kind, including any content that exploits or endangers minors
- Use automated tools to make bulk conversions without authorization
- Use the service to mass-generate a library or collection of files for redistribution or resale as digital products
- Attempt to copy, reverse-engineer or extract the technology behind the service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Resell access to the service or share account credentials
We block prohibited content automatically where we detect it. Uploading unlawful material results in immediate account termination, and we may report it — including account information — to the relevant authorities.
5. Your uploads
You retain all rights to images you upload. You warrant that you own them or have the rights needed to upload and convert them — PhotoCAD cannot check this for you, and it is your responsibility. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process the image through our pipeline to produce your conversion, operate the service, and review conversions for quality, support and abuse prevention.
6. Your outputs
Your conversions are yours — on every plan, including free, Pay-As-You-Go, and the API. We claim no rights in your outputs, place no restrictions on how you use them (personal, commercial, client work — your call), and assign to you any rights we may hold in them. We keep completed conversions in your account so you can re-download them while your account is open — and because the files are yours, you can download and keep copies wherever you like. 7. Gallery content
Vector files available in the PhotoCAD gallery are 100% free for personal and commercial use. No attribution is required. You may sell unlimited physical products made from gallery files. However, you may not resell, share or redistribute the digital files themselves. See our usage rights page for full details.
8. AI output disclaimer
PhotoCAD uses AI to interpret images and generate vector drawings. While we strive for high-quality output, AI-generated results may not always match your expectations. You are responsible for reviewing files before manufacturing and for the safe operation of any machinery — outputs are a starting point for your judgment, not a substitute for it. We are not liable for manufacturing defects, material waste or damage resulting from the use of files generated by PhotoCAD. Because the AI processes similar inputs in similar ways, similar uploads may produce similar outputs for different users; we cannot guarantee your output is unique.
9. Your responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for what you upload and what you do with your outputs. You agree to indemnify PhotoCAD against claims, losses and costs arising from your uploads (including claims that you lacked rights to an image) or your use of outputs.
10. Intellectual property complaints
If you believe content on PhotoCAD infringes your rights, contact support@photocad.ai with details and we will investigate and remove infringing content where appropriate. We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms; unused credits on accounts closed for violation are forfeit. We may also refuse, suspend or close any account at our discretion with reasonable notice — if we do so without a terms violation, we will refund unused purchased credits. You can close your account at any time from your dashboard.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time with notice (by email or a notice on the site). Changes apply from the date they take effect, not retroactively. If you do not accept updated terms, stop using the service and contact us — we will close your account and refund unused purchased credits.
13. Service availability
We aim to keep PhotoCAD available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Purchased credits will be honored or refunded if the service is discontinued.
14. Limitation of liability
PhotoCAD is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
