About PhotoCAD

PhotoCAD is an AI-powered drafting tool that converts photographs into clean, CAD-ready drawings. Every conversion produces a DXF, SVG and PDF in a single download — universal formats that import into AutoCAD, Fusion 360, LightBurn, Cricut Design Space, or any other CAD or CAM program.

Origin

Francis Field, rendered as a PhotoCAD line drawingFrancis Field, founder of PhotoCAD

PhotoCAD was built by Cambridge-based architect Francis Field to close the gap between photographs and drawings. CAD drawings are essential to the production of most products (from buildings to bottle openers and boots), and getting from a photograph to a clean drawing has always meant hours of busywork. PhotoCAD removes that step, leaving you more time to think, design and create.

The Gallery

The gallery is a public catalog of 200+ free DXF, SVG and PDF drawings spanning architecture, animals, vehicles, patterns, wildlife and more, updated weekly.
